Laser Spine Institute participates in JDRF One Walk
Laser Spine Institute teammates joined the JDRF One Walk on April 2 to help create awareness and a world without type 1 diabetes (T1D). According to JDRF, T1D is an autoimmune disease in which a person’s pancreas stops producing insulin – a hormone essential to turning food into energy. It strikes both children and adults and is unrelated to diet and lifestyle. With T1D there are no days off, and there is no cure – yet. JDRF is the one organization with the plan, influence, and ability to lessen the burden of this disease until it no longer exists.
Laser Spine Institute had nearly 30 participants in the walk and raised over $6,000 for the cause.
